In a commendable initiative, Engineer Nadi Imoro Sanda, the esteemed District Chief Executive (DCE) for DBI, took a significant step towards enhancing the Gulf of Guinea Northern Regions Social Cohesion (SOCO) projects. In a brief ceremony held at the District Assembly’s forecourt, the HON. DCE presented seven motorcycles to dedicated community facilitators , strategically appointed in the three Area Councils within the District.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the government for spearheading transformative SOCO projects across the district, the HON. DCE underscored the importance of the motorcycles in facilitating easy movement and effective monitoring. Emphasizing the need for responsible usage, he urged the beneficiaries to take meticulous care of the motorcycles and ensure their purposeful utilization.

The recipients, visibly elated, conveyed their joy and appreciation for the provision of these essential logistics, pledging to employ them efficiently in their respective roles.

In a noteworthy display of inclusivity and commitment to community welfare, the HON. DCE also handed over two tricycles to two Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) within the district. This gesture reflects the DCE’s dedication to supporting diverse groups, including the physically challenged.

Highlighting the proactive approach of the DCE and his team, they visited Bononyiri to inspect the installation of a transformer, a crucial step towards connecting the community to the national grid. During the visit, the team also seized the opportunity to assess the progress of the construction of a Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound in the same locality.
